Southwestern dance team adds Panorama dancer

Cameron Laughery, a senior at Panorama High School in Panora, has committed to the Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Dazzlers dance team for the 2018-19 dance season.

Laughery, of Yale, has been active in high school competing in dance for three years, football cheer for three years, basketball cheer for three years, and track for three years. She has lettered in speech and drama for four years. She was in jazz choir for two years, vocal concert choir for four years, and concert band for four years. In addition, Laughery has been on the Rhythm Room Dance Center's competition dance team in Jefferson for the past five years. She has also danced for five years at Main Street Dance Studio in Panora and taken classes at Adel Tumbling and Dance Club in Adel for four years. She has competed individually at the Iowa State Fair tumbling meet for three years. She is a member of her high school's Spanish Club and has been a 4-H member since fourth grade.

Laughery, who is the daughter of Mark and Carol Laughery of Yale, plans to major in nursing at Southwestern.
