The Spartan dance team poses following awards at the ISDTA State Dance Championship in Des Moines.

The Southwestern dance team placed second in the jazz category at the 2020 Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association's State Championships held at Well's Fargo Arena and Hy-Vee Hall on Dec. 5 and 6.
In addition, the team received a Division 1 rating in hip hop and performed in pom.
State performers for the Spartans included Cassity Conley of Creston, Sadie Green of Creston, Kiersten Latham of Creston, Cameron Laughery of Yale, Ryann Martin of Mount Ayr, Bryce Newton of Lenox, Jennifer Sics of Clarinda, and Micha Stephens of Creston. Out with injury but attending was Loni Makinna Russell of Creston.
