Southwestern Community College announced late last week, Ella Leonard, a 2022 Winterset High School graduate, will be joining the Spartan dance team this fall.

Leonard has had an excellent run with her high school dance team competing at nationals and finishing in first place in pom, hip hop, novelty, and military and earning a second-place overall team finish.

Academically, Leonard has been on the honor roll throughout high school.

Southwestern Head Dance Coach Paige Busch looks forward to having Leonard on the team this coming year.

“Ella is a very technical and skilled dancer for the Winterset School District leading her team to national awards,” stated Busch. “Ella is a wonderful addition to our team.”

Leonard is the daughter of David and Nikki Leonard.
