Your Southwestern Spartan men's basketball team was taken to the limit at home in a 74-67 victory over Little Priest Tribal College. In a low-scoring, defensive battle, the Spartans came out on top.
Southwestern's scoring fell heavily on two individuals, Akeen Woods and James Kelley. Woods finished with 17 points and 14 of those coming in the first half, scoring most of the Spartan's first-half points. Kelley ended the night with 23 points with two of them coming off of a steal and a layup with less than 5 seconds to go in the game.
The Spartans head into February with seven more games to play, and four of them on the home court.
