The Eagles of Kirkwood Community College came to Southwestern riding a four-game winning streak and boasting a #12 ranking in the National polls. The Southwestern offense struggled to get going, shooting under 32% from the floor and scoring only 24 points in the first half.
The Spartan men were led by Donzell Johnson and his 16 points, right behind were James Kelley and Demetrius Johnson with 15 points and 14 points respectively.
Southwestern looks to defend the home court on Wednesday, February 12th against the #8 Iowa Lakes Lakers.
