The ICCAC announced the 2021 postseason awards for Division II men's basketball on Monday, April 12. Southwestern sophomore forward James Kelley of Milwaukee, WI, earned First Team All-Region honors. Six of the eight teams in the conference were represented on this year’s First Team selections. Southwestern sophomore guard Donzell Johnson of Bloomington, IL, was named Second Team All-Region and Southwestern sophomore guard Nate Duckworth of Normal, IL, was named Honorable Mention All-Region.
The ICCAC had the following to say about Kelley's play this season, "Rounding out the First Team was Southwestern's James Kelley. The Spartan sophomore averaged 14.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in ICCAC competition. He was two thirds of the way to reaching the 50-40-90 Club as he shot 53.1 percent from the field and from three, 40 percent."
Kelley joined Willie Guy, who was named player of the year for the ICCAC, from DMACC and Ryan Schmitt from DMACC as 2020 Second Team All-Region selections to make First Team in 2021.
The 2021 ICCAC Division II Basketball All-Region teams were selected by the head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own players.
