Southwestern golf has inked their first commit of the class of 2022, Dylan Goodwin. Goodwin will graduate from Rigby High School in Rigby, Idaho, during the spring of 2022 and will enroll at Southwestern in the fall. He currently has a 3.8 GPA throughout his high school courses and also has completed almost a year of high school, dual-enrollment classes. 

"Dylan is the kind of golfer we like," says head coach Doug North. "He went from shooting over 100 his freshman year at districts, to shooting a 74 this year. The growth is there, and he will continue to grow into his game throughout his time here."

Goodwin has also excelled as a member of his high school's honor roll, a member of the speech team, and also a member of the debate team. He has also completed over 30 hours of community service to better his high school for the future grades to come through. 

Goodwin had this to say on his commitment and future, "I started golfing my freshman year in high school and have made impressive progress since. I have no intentions to stop or slow down my progress."
