Southwestern Head Cross Country/Track and Field Coach Trey Bruton recently announced the addition of Nyle Buchanan for the 2020-21 seasons.
Buchanan, a native of King George, Virginia, attended classes and competed for King George HS. He signed his National Letter of Intent this week to join the Spartan program.
Buchanan specializes in sprints and jumps. He has recorded personal best times of 10.86 in the 100m, 22.02 in the 200m and 51.67 in the 400m.
"Our program continues to grow and additions like Nyle only make our men's team stronger," Bruton said. "He has been away from competing with a team for a couple of years now but has stayed active and will fit right in with our jumps and sprints group. His maturity will be a strong asset for our team and help him to stay focused and succeed individually."
