Creston, IA—Jordan Redeker, a versatile player from the 2018 state champion Des Moines Hoover Huskies, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Southwestern Community College Spartan softball team next year.

Spartan Head Coach Nick Weinmeister described Redeker as a gamer and said because she is willing to play wherever her team needs her she is in every sense of the word a utility player.

"We will be looking to maximize Jordan's potential at multiple positions when she puts on the Spartan uniform," Weinmeister explained. "Jordan lives and breathes softball and comes from a state championship high school team which will serve our program greatly because she knows what it takes to win."

Redeker and the Hoover Husky team brought home the championship trophy from Fort Dodge to Des Moines this summer for the first time in 36 years.

Weinmeister, who has signed three other student-athletes this past week, said he and his coaching staff are excited to add Redeker to their quickly growing 2019 recruiting class.

Redeker is the daughter of JR and Anna Redeker of Des Moines.
