
Creston, IA—Emma Moore of Ellsworth, Kansas, a two-year all-state selection, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the Spartans of Southwestern Community College.
According to Danny Jensen, Spartan head softball coach, Moore is an outstanding infielder, who has played second base, shortstop, third base, and pitcher.
Jensen said Moore will be an excellent on-the-field leader, giving his team great depth at multiple positions.
"Emma has a great glove, superb mobility, and a strong arm," stated Jensen. "She has great instincts on the field and an impressive softball IQ."
In addition to being an all-state selection, Moore is a four-year varsity letter winner in softball, as well as a three-year varsity letter winner in basketball. Academically, she is a member of the National Honor Society, earned High Honor Roll for four years, and achieved the Dean's Honor Roll at Salina Area Technical College.
Moore is the daughter of the late Donnie Moore and Katie and Jason McWilliams. She is a May 2024 graduate of Ellsworth High School.
