The Southwestern Spartan women's basketball team traveled over the weekend to start a grueling stretch of four games in eight days, and they started it right.

In a dominating 80-50 win, the Spartans scored 26 points in the first quarter and never looked back, putting away the bears in scoring 21 points in the final 10 minutes. Southwestern was led by a career night from Sophomore, Kayela Willis. Willis scored 23 points, had 8 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.

Head Coach Bryan Austin is excited about how his team is playing, "We played a great team game from beginning to end. We had a great defensive stance in the third quarter, only allowing 4 points. Those things are a good recipe for success."
