The Southwestern Community College women's and men's basketball teams will be hosting a breast cancer awareness event, Think Pink, in conjunction with their basketball games vs. Little Priest Tribal College on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively in the Student Center gymnasium on Southwestern's Creston campus.
The event will kick off with a chili contest, from 5-6 p.m. in the upstairs of the Student Center, where fans can taste contestants' chili and vote for their favorite. At game time, fans will move to the gymnasium for games, prizes, cancer awareness information, and entertainment. Spectators should wear pink to the games. Greater Regional Health will provide awareness information to fans in attendance. Proceeds from the Think Pink event will go to the Check the Girls Foundation.
The Spartan dance team and the Creston High School Peppers dance team will perform during halftimes of the games.
