The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference announced the Academic All-Region performers for the Spring of 2020. First Team performers received a 3.5 grade point average or above, while Second Team members earned between at 3.0 and a 3.49 GPA. A student's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their spring semester only GPA. 700 student-athletes reached First-Team recognition, 450 earned Second Team status. 

Southwestern sports recognized include baseball, basketball, golf, softball, sports shooting, and track & field.

The 2020 Spring semester dramatically shifted with the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. Students and professors were forced to adapt to online learning as they finished out their semesters.
