Two Spartan baseball team members were recently named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division II players of the week for the week of February 11, 2016. Spartan short stop Samuel Vega has been named player of the week, and right handed pitcher Brian Anderson was name pitcher of the week.

Vega's and Anderson's performances helped the Spartans to gain three wins in their first five games on the road, all of which were against National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I teams.

The Spartans have a week off before they will take to the road again, this time to Enid, OK on February 20 and 21. There the Spartans will play a four-game series with DII Northern Oklahoma College-Enid.
