Kaeleigh Ballentine, head coach for the Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Dazzlers dance team, had a big week adding six student-athletes to her team for the 2016-17 dance season.

Blythe Beck, a 2013 graduate of Lenox High School, is the daughter of Terry and Julie Beck. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from SWCC in 2015 and is now a student in the college's nursing program. She was valedictorian of her graduating class in high school and was Spotlight Dancer of the Year her freshman year.

Elizabeth Beitz, a May 2016 graduate of West Central Valley High School in Stuart, is the daughter of Mike and Paula Beitz of Dexter. During high school, she participated in cheerleading, dance team, and golf.

Lexie Heckman, a May 2016 graduate of Creston High School, is the daughter of Natalie Heckman of Creston. She was a member of the Peppers dance team all four years in high school. She also made the high school honor roll.

Alyssa Higgins, a May 2016 graduate of Creston High School, is the daughter of Matt and Terri Higgins of Creston. She was a four-year letter winner in softball and Peppers dance team and a three-year letter winner in volleyball. Higgins was named honorable mention all-conference her sophomore year and second team all-conference her junior year for softball. She was named honorable mention all-conference for volleyball her junior year. She is a member of National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa and was on the honor roll all four years of high school.

Danielle Schwarz, a May 2016 graduate of East Union High School, is the daughter of Melissa Ioder of Afton. She lettered in dance team for two years and cheerleading for one year. Schwarz participated in band, choir, and honor choir all four years of high school and was the drum major for marching band one year. She was in honor band one year. She has been on the honor roll, is a member of National Honor Society, and has participated in speech and drama.

Lynn Singer, a May 2016 graduate of East Union High School, is the daughter of Blaine and Jennifer Singer of Lorimor. She lettered in varsity cheer for four years, dance team and varsity track for three years, and archery for one year. She participated in choir, honor choir, and band for four years; honor band for two years; speech for four years; and drama for four years. Singer has been on the honor roll and is a member of the National Honor Society.
