Southwestern's 2017-18 Dazzlers dance team placed first in jazz and hip hop, in the community college division, at the Dance Team Union's regional competition at Central College in Pella on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017. The team placed second in pom.

The 2017-18 Dazzler team is made up of Abbie Cook, freshman, of Creston; Haylea England, freshman, of Mount Ayr; Alyssa Higgins, sophomore, of Creston; Danielle Schwarz, sophomore, of Afton; Lynn Singer, sophomore, of Afton; and Brittney Westlake, freshman, of Corning.

Next up for the Dazzlers is an evening performance during halftime of the men's basketball game on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. The Dazzlers next competition will be at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association's 2018 College Championship at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Friday, Dec. 1.

The team is coached by Kaeleigh Ballentine.
