The Southwestern Spartan Dance Team took their high-energy to regional competiton this past Sunday at Dance Team Union held at Central College in Pella, Iowa. Led by Captain, Bryce Newton, the energetic Spartans remained motivated throughout the days events. At an event historically dominated by Kirkwood Community College, the Spartans fared well. 

The Spartans brought home some hardware by finishing in first place in their Jazz routine, second in the Hip-Hop routine, and finished in third with the Pom routine.

Dance Team Union puts on regional championships all over the United States and caps off their championships with the national championship held in Las Vegas every Spring.
