Southwestern Spartan Dance Team Clinches Virtual National Championship in Spectacular Fashion

The Southwestern Spartan Dance Team has made history by securing the title of Dance Team Union Virtual National Champions in the Open Pom category. This remarkable achievement comes after the team competed with ten routines and emerged victorious, showcasing their talent, dedication, and exceptional skill.

In a stunning display of artistry and precision, the Spartans' pom routine captivated judges and spectators alike, propelling them to the pinnacle of success in the virtual competition. Their stellar performance not only earned them the prestigious title of National Champions but also garnered recognition in the form of a Level 3 College Classic Paid Bid, a testament to their status as the highest-scoring college routine in the competition.

Reflecting on the team's journey to victory, Head Coach Paige Russo expressed her pride and admiration for the dancers' resilience and determination. "The team has had such a wonderful and strong season thus far," Coach Russo remarked. "After we were slightly disappointed in our placements from regionals, the team got to work and came home with a virtual national championship this past winter."

Looking ahead with optimism and ambition, Coach Russo emphasized the team's aspirations for the upcoming in-person national championship in April. With their sights set on continued success, the Southwestern Spartan Dance Team is poised to make their mark on the national stage and bring home further accolades for their college and community.

Join us in congratulating the Southwestern Spartan Dance Team on their remarkable achievement and wishing them the best of luck as they prepare to compete for glory at the upcoming national championship!
