Creston, IA—Late last week, Kameryn Phelps of Lamoni was announced as the newest member of the 2023-24 Southwestern Community College Dazzlers dance team.

Phelps, who will graduate from Lamoni High School in May, has danced for the Living Arts Dance Studio for seven years, achieving an elite high gold at regionals, as well as dancing a national-qualifying solo. Phelps danced on the Lamoni High School dance team for two years.

Southwestern Dazzlers Head Coach Paige Busch said she is excited Phelps will be joining the team.

“Kameryn’s dance background at Living Arts Dance Studio, as well as on her high school dance team, makes her a wonderful addition,” Busch stated. “She is ready to work and I look forward to seeing her growth!”

In addition to dance, during high school Phelps has participated in volleyball for three years, track for four years, and cheer for one year.

She is the daughter of Jason Phelps of Lamoni.
