The Spartans claimed 1st place in the College Pom category, edged out strong competition to take 2nd place in College Hip Hop, and secured a solid 4th place in College Jazz. Their College Pom routine earned the highest score of the competition, winning the team a $1,000 paid bid to the prestigious College Classic National Championship.
Head Coach Paige Russo praised the team's resilience and preparation, saying, "This week in practice, we focused on taking the judges' feedback and making corrections from last weekend's competition. It wasn't an easy task to earn first place in College Pom, especially against universities and other community colleges. I couldn't be prouder of this team for earning the highest scoring college routine of the day. The work isn't fully completed yet—it's time to get back to work for our upcoming competitions."
