The Spartan men's golf team finished the fall season with their toughest test of the season. The Spartans competed in the Bent Tree Intercollegiate, hosted by Iowa Western Community College. This tournament featured a star-studded field with Indian Hills CC (No. 1 ranked in NJCAA Division I), Iowa Western CC (No. 4 ranked in NJCAA Division I), Hutchinson CC (No. 6 ranked in NJCAA Division I), and Southeast CC (No. 8 ranked in NJCAA Division II).

The Spartans took fifth in the six-team field and finished just eight strokes behind Southeast CC. The Spartans were the only team shooting better in the much colder and windier second-round conditions. The Spartans were led by freshman Reinhardt Saunderson, who tied for a 16th place finish.
