Spartans move to #18 in NJCAA DII, win at DMACC

In the most recent polls, released on Wednesday, Feb. 21, Southwestern moved up a spot to #18 in NJCAA DII. Later that night, the Spartans went on the road to defeat DMACC 89-71 in Boone. The win marked the sixth straight victory for Southwestern over the Bears.

After trailing 37-36 at halftime, the Spartans used a 22-5 run to start the second half and take a 58-41 lead with 13 minutes to go. They never looked back. A balanced offensive attack included 18 points from Gatdoar Kueth, 16 points from Khallid Edwards, 15 points from Chad Moran, and 10 points from RoNeal Ross.

Southwestern is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 24, when they host Kirkwood Community College at 3 p.m. for sophomore day and Bullpen Barbershop Day.  The Spartans are 22-6 overall and 7-3 in the ICCAC.
