Spartans rally to beat DMACC

The Southwestern Community College men's basketball team overcame a three-point halftime deficit to post a 105-102 home win over DMACC Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the SWCC Student Center gymnasium.

Sophomore post player Chad Moran scored 10 straight points for the Spartans down the stretch to give Southwestern the lead. Moran finished 9-of-10 shooting on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds.

Sophomore point guard Ryan Warren recorded a double-double with team highs in points (31) and assists (12). Sophomore Gatdoar Kueth added 20 points and six rebounds, while Willshon Warren finished with 15 points. Noah Persich's free throws in the final seconds iced the victory for the Spartans, as Persich finished with eight points. Jordan Doss knocked down a pair of 3-pointers for six points with three rebounds.

Southwestern improved to 2-22 for the season and 2-7 in ICCAC play. The Spartans are back in action at home Saturday when they host Little Priest Tribal College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in the Student Center gymnasium.
