Warren, Kueth named to Region XI All-Region teams

Ryan Warren and Gatdoar Kueth were named to the Region XI Division II men's basketball all-region teams.

Southwestern sophomores Ryan Warren and Gatdoar Kueth received all-region honors on the Region XI men's basketball All-Region teams, which were announced Monday, March 11.

Warren, a 5-8 sophomore from St. Louis, Missouri, received second-team all-region honors after ranking second on the team in scoring at 12.5 points per game and leading the Spartans with 5.3 assists per game. He ranked third in the ICCAC with 138 assists per game. Warren shot 40.8 percent from the floor for the season, 34.5 percent from behind the 3-point arc and led the Spartans by shooting 76.6 percent from the free throw line. He knocked down a team-leading 50 3-pointers for the season.

Kueth, a 6-7 sophomore from Des Moines, received honorable mention on the all-region team. Kueth ranked third on the Southwestern team with 11.6 points per game, while leading the Spartans with 5.4 rebounds per game and 1.3 blocked shots per game. Kueth shot a team-leading 57.2 percent from the field and also shot 33.9 percent from behind the 3-point arc and 76.0 percent from the free throw line.

The all-region teams are selected by coaches vote, in which a coach votes on the nominees and cannot vote for his own players.
