The Southwestern men's basketball team looked forward to getting back on the home floor after four straight away games. Being in front of the home crowd brought a calming feeling to the shooting hands of the Spartans who shot over 50% from the field and 50% from behind the arc. Sebastian Zehnder led Southwestern from three-point territory, shooting five times and making four. Head Coach, Devin Kastrup, on Zehnder's shooting, "He shot lights-out."

A spark from off the bench by Freshman, Jimmie Richardson, defensively was a key factor in the home victory. "Jimmie has incredible incredible energy and played well for us defensively," discusses Kastrup. "It was a complete team effort tonight. We have things we need to continue to clean up, but I'm proud of the intensity and focus they had for 40 minutes."

The Spartan's offensive leaders were Donzell Johnson with 18 points, Akeen Woods with 16 points, James Kelley with 15 points, and Zehnder with 12.

The Spartans travel to Council Bluffs to take on the Iowa Western Community College Reivers on Tuesday, Nov 26 at 6:00 p.m. Tune in live here: http://www.goreivers.com/information/reiver-sports-network
