Worrell Garners ICCAC Honors

Creston, IA — Patrick Worrell, a sophomore guard hailing from Douglas, GA, has been honored with an Honorable Mention All-Region recognition by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).

Worrell, standing tall at 6'4", has showcased exceptional athleticism and skill throughout the season, contributing significantly to the Southwestern Spartans' success on the court. His dedication and talent have not gone unnoticed, earning him this prestigious accolade from the ICCAC.

With an impressive average of 11.2 points per game, Worrell has been a consistent scoring threat for the Spartans, demonstrating his proficiency from both inside and outside the arc. His shooting accuracy, with a field goal percentage of 40.2% and a three-point percentage of 29.6%, reflects his effectiveness on the court.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Worrell has been a force on the boards, averaging an outstanding 8.4 rebounds per game. His defensive presence is equally noteworthy, with 35 steals and 13 blocks over the course of the season.

"Patrick has shown tremendous development in his game the past two season's here," said Coach Sweany. "He showed up everyday ready to work and get better, so it is no surprise to see the success he had on the court this season. I am very proud of Patrick for the season he had, this is well-deserved recognition from the ICCAC."
