ICCAC Men’s Basketball Season Preview: 2024-25

The Spartans are back in action for the 2024-25 ICCAC Division II Men's Basketball season! With an unpredictable lineup of conference teams, this season promises intense competition for the Region 11 title.

Leading the coaches poll is last year's regular season champ, DMACC, with Ellsworth close behind as the reigning Region 11 Tournament winner. Both teams punched their ticket to nationals last season, and their eyes are set on a repeat. Iowa Lakes, last year's runner-up, sits fourth in this year's poll, and Kirkwood, ranked third, looks to return to the NJCAA National Tournament for the first time since 2019.

Southwestern enters the season tied for seventh with Northeast. Under the direction of our first-year head coach, the Spartans aim to surprise the conference and climb the ranks in one of the ICCAC's most competitive lineups. Iowa Western, Iowa Central, NIACC, and Western Iowa Tech round out the poll, each team vying for a top-eight spot to secure a postseason chance.

With 18 conference games determining postseason qualifiers, the battle for Region 11 supremacy is on. Eight out of ten teams will advance to postseason play, keeping the stakes high for every matchup.
