Norfolk, NE – January 8, 2025 – The Southwestern Community College Spartans continued their upward trajectory with a hard-fought 80-75 victory against Northeast Community College on Saturday night at the Cox Activities Center. This win improves their season record to 8-10 overall and 3-4 in ICCAC conference play, marking the third consecutive win for the Spartans.

Leading the charge was Rickey Loftin II, who delivered a standout performance with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Donnary Fontenot contributed significantly with 18 points and 3 rebounds, while Thomas Morgan added 13 points and 5 rebounds. Kael Jones showcased his versatility by recording a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. James Braddy also made his presence felt, notching 10 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.

Coach Darryl Fletcher praised his team's resilience and physicality in the post-game interview. "Good team win for us. We have to get to the point where we do the tough stuff all the time.
