Darryl Fletcher entered his first season as head coach at Southwestern in 2024. In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Fletcher serves as a residence hall coordinator. He spent the previous season as the lead assistant for the NDSCS Wildcats. During that season, the Wildcats finished 31-2 and were on of the top defensive teams in the country. He also recruited one all conference player, tournment MVP, and the team also had one NJCAA All-American.
Before that he spent time at Moberly. Coach Fletcher helped the hounds to a 30-4 record, a region 16 championship, as well as district championship and a National Tournament appearance. He helped coach and recruit 4 Division 1 signees and another NJCAA All-American.
Before that (his 2nd) he was an assistant at Iowa Lakes CC, where he helped the Lakers to a 21-10 record and four Lakers were named to All-Region Teams and one NJCAA All-American. During his first season at Iowa Lakes he helped them to a 21-8 record, a Region XI Tournament Championship, NJCAA National Tournament third place finish, and five Lakers were named to All-Region Teams and one NJCAA All-American.
Prior to that, he was at La Salette Academy, where he was an athletic director/assistant basketball coach under NJCAA Hall of Famer John Spezia. Before that, Fletcher was the assistant varsity coach at Allatoona and Discovery High School in Georgia, where he helped leed the team to state championship games. Fletcher has also served as the coach for the AC Georgia AAU program, which has had several Division 1 and 2 players.
Darryl was born in Chicago, Illinois, but spent most of his life in Georgia. He is a graduate of Shorter University (BBA) and Georgia State University (MEd).
