The Southwestern Spartan men's golf team inked the first commitment for the class of 2020. Ethan Brumbaugh is the son of Libby Weber and Jeremy Golden and will be graduating in May of 2020 from Rock Port, Missouri. 

Brumbaugh, with his senior year still left to play, has a good list of accolades already as discussed by Head Coach Doug North, "Golf is a difficult game and winning is a rarity. Ethan brings that winning mentality to the program and he will flourish." Brumbaugh is a two-time conference champion, all-sectional, and a two-time all-district golfer. 

"Ethan is battle-tested already. He missed qualifying for a state championship by one stroke on two different occasions. He's going to be a grinder as a Spartan, because that is what he's used to. Every shot counts and he is well aware of that," discusses North. Brumbaugh qualified for state as a junior, where he finished 24th, and looks to repeat and improve as a senior.
