Southwestern Spartans Men's Golf Program Welcomes Danish Talent, Alexander Cordrey, for Fall 2024

Southwestern Community College is thrilled to announce the addition of Alexander Cordrey, a promising Danish golfer, to the Spartans Men's Golf Program for the Fall 2024 season. Cordrey, hailing from Denmark, brings a wealth of talent and dedication to the team, making him a valuable asset for the upcoming season.

Having started his competitive journey in 2022 at the junior level in Denmark, Cordrey has shown remarkable athletic development, consistently posting impressive scores in the mid-70s. His commitment to the sport has not only earned him a place in the Spartan family but also positioned him as a player to watch during the upcoming season.

Not only an accomplished athlete, but Cordrey also graduated with distinction in 2023, showcasing his commitment to both academics and athletics. His educational focus on natural sciences aligns seamlessly with Southwestern Community College's commitment to holistic student development.

Alexander Cordrey's dedication to golf is evident in his progression over the years. Starting with an average score of 89 in 2022, he has honed his skills to an impressive average score of 78.67 in 2023, a testament to his hard work and determination.

When asked about his decision to commit to the Spartan golf team, Cordrey stated, "I can't wait to get live and train with the rest of the Spartan golf team." This enthusiasm reflects his eagerness to contribute to the team's success and foster a collaborative and competitive environment.

In addition to his commitment, Cordrey shared his aspirations, aiming to become an All-American. Inspired by Kobe Bryant's work ethic, he hopes his dedication will motivate his teammates to push their limits and achieve collective success.

Cordrey's notable achievements in golf include tying for 4th in the Hillerød Open and has an impressive low round of 66. His home course is Fredensborg GC, and he credits coaches Robert Greve and James Petts for his development.

Southwestern Spartans Men's Golf Program is proud to welcome Alexander Cordrey to its ranks and looks forward to a successful season with his valuable contributions.
