Southwestern Head Track and Field Coach Trey Bruton recently announced the addition of Julius Pyne to the team for the 2019-20 season. Pyne signed his National Letter of Intent to join the Spartans earlier this week.

Pyne, the son of James Pyne of Des Moines, is a sprinter from Des Moines North. He will graduate from North High School in May 2019.

Pyne was part of North's Drake Relays qualifying 4x100 relay team in 2018.
