Southwestern Head Track Coach Trey Bruton recently announced the signing of Kolten Johnson of Leon for the 2019-20 track and field season.

Johnson is a product of Central Decatur, where he was a Pride of Iowa Conference champion in the 400 meter hurdles. He is the son of Angie Ruth.

"We are excited to add Kolten to our program next year, he has a lot of potential to grow and we think he can be a key contributor to our success next season. He took a year off from school so even though he is coming in as a freshman he has an extra bit of maturity on his side that is going to help him succeed and be a leader for us the next two years," mentioned Head Track & Field Coach Trey Bruton.
