The Southwestern men had another strong showing at the Dennis Young Invite, hosted at Buena Vista University. Roland Hure had a strong showing placing second in the Long Jump competition and breaking the indoor school record in the process. He also took 2nd in the 60m dash on a seson best time of 7.04 seconds. Brandon Thompson continued his breakout freshman season by taking down his own school record in the Weight throw. Benjamin Aliel came in 2nd in the men's 600m run to cap off a solid day of events for the Spartan Men.

Head Coach of the Spartans had this to say about the meet, "our men really preformed well today, any time you are taking down more school records its a positive thing. We went into the day having a few specific areas where we were trying to focus our efforts and improve upon, I think we did just that. We have the potential to do some really exciting things this season if we continue to work hard and put in the neccesary effort."

The Spartans are back in action Friday and Saturday February, 7th and 8th at Northwest Missouri State University in Marryville, MO.
