Creston, IA—Spartan Head Softball Coach Danny Jensen announced yesterday, multi-talented softball standout Jaisa Boos of Runnells, a senior at Southeast Polk High School, will join the team as Southwestern Community College's first signing of the 2023 recruiting class.

Boos, a left-handed pitcher, has a wealth of experience as a player for the Iowa Blitz fastpitch organization. In addition to pitching, Boos has spent time at first base and right field. She plays basketball as well.

"She will bring a left-handed presence on the mound for us next season," said Jensen. "As the first member of our 2023 recruiting class, we would like to welcome Jaisa to the Spartan family."

Boos is the daughter of Tonya and Jason Boos of Runnells.
