Spartan softball signs power pitcher/hitter from Missouri

Creston, IA—Last week, the Spartans of Southwestern Community College in Creston announced the signing of Kirsten Streeter of Concordia, Missouri, a multiple-year all-conference, all-district, and all-state power pitcher and hitter.

Streeter has exceled in softball and volleyball during her years at Concordia High School. For softball, she has been named first team all-conference, all-district, all-region, and second team all-state. She has had much success with the KC Rebels Softball organization for the past several years. In addition, she was named academic all-state, receiving academic letters in ninth, 10th, and 11th grade, qualifying for National Honor Society, the Principal's Honor Roll her freshman year and the Superintendent's Honor Roll her sophomore and junior years. She is treasurer of the class of 2023.

Danny Jensen, Southwestern head softball coach, said Streeter will bring outstanding leadership to the Spartan team next fall.

"Kirsten is a tremendous student-athlete," Jensen said. "She gives 100 percent on the field, while always remembering to place high priority on her academics, repeatedly landing on the honor roll and being selected for the National Honor Society."

Streeter is the daughter of David and Sally Streeter of Concordia, Missouri.
