Sidney High School’s Sadie Thompson to become a Spartan

Creston, IA—Third baseman and outfielder Sadie Thompson of Sidney will be suited up for the Spartans of Southwestern Community College in Creston beginning with the fall 2023 semester.

Southwestern Head Softball Coach Danny Jensen said Thompson will come to Southwestern as a well-versed, five-year starter for Sidney High School.

"Sadie will provide us with depth at both positions," explained Jensen. "She is an involved student-athlete who excels academically and athletically, playing basketball and golf at Sidney as well."

Thompson has been named to the honor roll all four years of high school. In addition to athletics, she has participated in band, choir, theater, FFA, and FCA. She was selected to represent her class on the student council all four years of high school as well.

She is the daughter of Shawn Thompson and Jennifer West.
