The Southwestern Spartans Softball team faced a challenging week, experiencing setbacks in multiple games. Despite their efforts, the team went 1-5 in their recent matchups.

The Spartans began the week facing off against Kansas City Kansas Community College on April 3, 2024. In the first game of the doubleheader, Southwestern struggled to gain momentum, falling short with a final score of 1-9. The second game yielded a similar outcome, with a final score of 1-15 in favor of Kansas City Kansas Community College.

On April 4, the Spartans faced Metropolitan Community College in another doubleheader. Despite their efforts to bounce back, the team faced tough competition, resulting in a split of 15-8 and 11-12.

In their most recent matchup on April 7, against Indian Hills Community College, the Spartans fought hard but ultimately fell short, with scores of 3-10 and 3-11 in favor of Indian Hills.

Throughout the week, standout performances were seen from players such as Ashton Willis, Brooklyn Hadl, and Jayliegh Robins, who demonstrated resilience and determination on the field.
