SPARTAN SOFTBALL SUFFERS LOSSES IN WEEKEND DOUBLE-HEADER AGAINST SOUTHEASTERN

Southwestern Spartans Softball faced off against the Southeastern Community College in a challenging double-header this past weekend, resulting in two losses for the Spartans.

In the first game, Southwestern started strong but couldn't maintain momentum, ultimately falling to Southeastern with a final score of 3-12. Despite efforts from players like Jayliegh Robins, who delivered a notable performance with a double and an RBI, and Kirsten Streeter, contributing with two RBIs, the Spartans couldn't secure the win.

The second game saw a valiant effort from the Spartans, as they battled fiercely until the end. However, Southeastern managed to secure the victory with a final score of 7-8. Jayliegh Robins and Erika Kruse showcased their offensive prowess with impressive home runs, while Julia Jones contributed an RBI to the Spartan's efforts.

The losses bring Southwestern's season record to 10-20 overall and 0-8 in conference play, as they continue to strive for success in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference and the National Junior College Athletic Association.
