The Southwestern Community College softball team was recognized with five ICCAC All-Region selections following the 2025 season, as announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference. Sophomore Brooklyn Hadl and Sophomore Erika Kruse earned First Team honors, while freshman infielder Emma Moore, freshman outfielder Clara O'Brien, and sophomore utility player Bethany Button were named to the Second Team.

Hadl, a sophomore infielder from Gardner, Kansas, was a key contributor on both sides of the field for the Spartans. Playing primarily at shortstop and second base, Hadl appeared in all 45 games and led the team with a .424 batting average. She posted 61 hits, including 11 doubles, six triples, and six home runs. A disruptive presence on the basepaths, she swiped 26 stolen bases while scoring a team-high 48 runs. Defensively, Hadl was equally dependable, fielding at a .973 clip and recording 110 assists on the year. Her combination of speed, bat control, and defensive versatility made her one of the most complete players in the region.

Kruse, a sophomore utility player from Fort Madison, Iowa, made her impact felt at the plate, in the circle, and in the field. Offensively, Kruse hit .434 with 59 hits, 18 doubles, and eight home runs, driving in 49 runs across 45 appearances. She ranked near the top of the roster in nearly every major offensive category. As a pitcher, Kruse made 20 appearances and started 13 games, collecting five wins and one save. She threw 78.2 innings, striking out 70 batters and posting a 4.09 ERA. In addition to her bat and arm, Kruse also logged innings at first base and maintained a .940 fielding percentage.

Moore, from Ellsworth, Kansas, showcased her versatility defensively while producing at the plate. The freshman appeared in all 45 games, batting .336 with 51 hits, 33 runs, and 23 RBIs. She also stole 12 bases and posted a .952 fielding percentage while rotating between second base, shortstop, third base, and occasional pitching duties.

O'Brien, a freshman outfielder from Corydon, Iowa, appeared in 40 games and brought speed and athleticism to the Spartans' lineup. She recorded a .257 batting average with seven doubles, three triples, and one home run, along with 18 RBIs and 27 runs scored. Her 14 stolen bases ranked among the team leaders, and she held a .955 fielding percentage while patrolling the outfield.

Button, a sophomore from Van Meter, Iowa, capped off her career with a strong season at both the plate and in the field. Appearing in 36 games, she posted a .392 batting average with three home runs, 24 RBIs, and a .482 on-base percentage. Defensively, she led the team in fielding percentage (.960) among regular starters at first base and logged 71 putouts.

These five student-athletes served as key contributors for Head Coach Jensen and the Spartans throughout the 2025 campaign. Their selection to the ICCAC All-Region teams reflects their individual consistency, development, and value to the program. The future remains promising for a team that relied heavily on a young core and showed signs of growth as the season progressed.
