Creston, IA—Danny Jensen, head coach for Southwestern Community College softball, has announced the first signee for the 2025-26 Spartan team, Hannah Hackmann of Linn, Missouri.

Jensen touts Hackmann as an outstanding defensive first baseman. She has played in the last two Missouri state tournaments, bringing home a fourth-place finish on one of the trips.

Hackmann has been named all-conference first team, all-district first team, and all-region first team in 2024; all-conference honorable mention and all-district second team in 2023; all-district second team in 2022 and 2021; and has lettered in softball all four years of high school. She was inducted into the National Honor Society.

Jensen said due to Hackmann's softball savvy, she makes a great first signee.

"Hannah will bring a wealth of experience and leadership to our team next year," Jensen stated.

Hackmann, who will graduate from Linn High School in May 2025, is the daughter of Aaron and Jessica Hackmann of Linn, Missouri.
