Creston, IA—Davenport Assumption outfielder Laura Lippincott will play for the Spartans of Southwestern Community College beginning with the fall 2025 semester.

During high school, Lippincott was a varsity letter winner in softball; the second leader in stolen bases, and her team finished as runners-up at the 2024 Iowa State High School Softball Tournament.

Danny Jensen, Southwestern head softball coach, said Lippincott’s experience playing for a successful Davenport Assumption program will give her collegiate career a jump start.

“Laura is a speedy outfielder and an excellent left-handed hitter who can slap and bunt,” stated Jensen. “She loves the game and will bring positivity to our team.”

Lippincott is the daughter of Josh and Amorette Costello of Davenport.
