MaKenna Lilly, a senior at Nodaway Valley High School, is headed to Southwestern Community College in the fall to shoot for Head Coach Marc Roberg and the Spartans' sports shooting team.

Lilly has been an avid sports shooter during high school. She was a national 4-H shotgun qualifier in 2015 and 2017 and a state of Iowa 4-H shooting sports ambassador from 2015-2018. She was top 10 for women's varsity in 2017 and Top 10 in women's JV in 2016. She made SCTP state archery from 2015-17. In addition to sports shooting, Lilly made the Pride of Iowa honor band all four years of high school and was a state 4-H horse and pony project award recipient.

Roberg feels she will be an important addition to the team.

"I really look forward to having MaKenna on the team," Roberg said. "She is an avid shooter and is dedicated to continuing to improve her shooting skills."

She is the daughter of Rich and Brook Lilly of Bridgewater.
