Creston, IOWA—Indianola's Katie Kelso has committed to the Southwestern Community College sports shooting team for the 2019-20 shooting season.

Kelso, a senior at Southeast Warren High School in Liberty Center, will graduate in May 2019. During high school, she has been an FFA officer and has lettered in band for three years.

Spartan Head Coach Marc Roberg looks forward to watching Kelso grow as a sports shooter at the collegiate level.

"Katie is a delightful young woman who, with additional experience and strength conditioning, has the potential of becoming a competitive collegiate shooter."

She is the daughter of Jeff and Angie Kelso of Indianola.
