Southwestern's Cole Sorensen took top marks at the ICCAC Championships last weekend in Waukee in Men's Trap. In tough conditions, the Spartan hit 98 of 100 targets to fend off runner up Abram Lorence of Southeastern for the title. The Spartans finished seventh out of the 10 teams in trap. In the skeet finals, Sorensen nearly doubled his first-place medals, but was defeated in a shootout by Iowa Western's Tevin Statzer. Both shot a 99 -- Statzer won 4-3 in the shoot off.
