Meet your Southwestern Spartan 2022-23 sports shooting team!

The Spartans had a great run at the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Championships last weekend in Waukee. Southwestern's Cole Sorensen, sophomore of Waverly, Nebraska, hit 98 of 100 targets to finish at the top of men's trap and earning the honor of ICCAC Sports Shooting Athlete of the Week.

In skeet, Sorensen placed second, being narrowly defeated in a shootout with Tevin Statzer of Iowa Western. Both student-athletes shot a 99 and Statzer went on to win the shootout with a score of 4-3.
