Spartans add Tucker for 2019-20 season

Kaylynn Tucker of Omaha signs her National Letter of Intent to join the Southwestern women's basketball team in 2019-20.

Southwestern Head Women's Basketball Coach Bryan Austin announced today the signing of Kaylynn Tucker for the 2019-20 season.

Tucker is a guard from Omaha, Nebraska, where she graduated from Omaha Northwest in May 2019. She is the daughter of Rachelle Tucker and Norbert Suggs.

While at Omaha Northwest, Tucker received honorable mention for basketball and soccer and was named female athlete of the year in varsity basketball for the 2018-2019 season, as well as being a team captain. She is also an honor roll student who received the African-American Achievement Award and AVID Honors.

"We are very glad Kaylynn chose to play with us," Austin said. "She has great court vision and is going to add some good depth to our backcourt."
