The Southwestern women's basketball team, coming off a 2019-20 season which saw them host a post-season game for the first time in a decade continue to build on that success. The Spartans currently sit in fifth-place in conference standings and look to continue to climb the ladder.
The Spartans are led on offense by sophomores Brielle Baker (16.2 PPG) and Kaylynn Tucker (14.5 ppg). Freshman Alyssa Morris is also scoring in double-figures for the Spartans with 12.7 points per game. 16.2 points per game for Baker puts her fourth in the ICCAC in that category. She is also fifth in the ICCAC in rebounds per game with 8.4.
The disciplined Spartans rank 17th in the country from the free throw line, but lead the country in free throws made at 210. The young squad is also top-10 in the country in rebounds per game.
