Villisca’s Sunderman to play for Spartans

Danica Sunderman, of Villisca, signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Spartans of Southwestern Community College starting with their fall 2018 volleyball season.

Sunderman, who graduated from Southwest Valley High School in May 2017, was named all-conference for volleyball in 2015 and 2016. In addition, she received all-academic honors from 2013-2016, including being a member of the National Honor Society.

Sunderman, a 5'8" outside hitter, will major in nursing at Southwestern. After spending the 2017-18 academic year at DMACC, she was accepted into Southwestern's nursing program. Along with volleyball, Sunderman will be a student in the licensed practical nursing program in the fall.

She is the daughter of Brad and Staci Sunderman of Villisca.
