Southwestern Community College sophomore Chelsey Trautloff will round out Head Volleyball Coach Casey Quiggle's 2018 recruiting class for the Spartans 2018 run.

Trautloff, of Horton, KS, transferred to Southwestern in August 2017 and played basketball for the Spartans during their 2017-18 season. She stands at 5 feet 8 inches and plays middle and outside hitter for volleyball.

Quiggle said Trautloff's hitting is the perfect fit to complete his 2018 roster.

"Chelsey has a strong desire to play volleyball at the collegiate level," stated Quiggle. "Her positive attitude and work ethic will lead to success on- and off-the-court.

Trautloff was a May 2016 graduate of Horton High School. During high school, Trautloff was an All-Star in volleyball and basketball earning numerous "Player to Bank On" honors. She qualified for USA basketball and volleyball teams.

She is the daughter of Misty and Shawn Trautloff of Horton, KS, and is planning to earn her Associate of Science degree from Southwestern in December.

According to Quiggle, with the addition of Trautloff, the Spartan roster now includes 14 student-athletes. With five returners and nine new recruits, Quiggle is expecting to have a well-rounded team which will build on last year's success.
